Community Prevention, Preparedness, and Mitigation in the Western Jemez

Fire Adapted Communities New Mexico (FACNM) is partnering with the BLM, New Mexico Association of Counties, and New Mexico State Forestry to host a learning exchange in the Western Jemez area. The event is planned all-day on Monday, October 28th and is located at Rancho del Chaparral Girlscouts camp. The event is free, but space is limited. The current agenda, which is subject to changed based on participant interests, involves interactive field visits at Camp Rancho del Chaparral in the Jemez mountains. Field visits will serve as prompts for discussion and information sharing amongst participants about wildfire preparedness, prevention, and mitigation.
